Our Father
In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He
was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without
him was not anything made that was made. (Jn 1:1-3) Hail Mary
You believe that
God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” (Js 2:19) Hail
Mary
In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he
became hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went
to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no
fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once. When
the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at
once?” (Mt 21:18-20) Hail Mary
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for
whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that
he rewards those who seek him. (Hb 11:6) Hail Mary
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the
word of Christ. (Rm 10:17) Hail Mary
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the
conviction of things not seen. (Hb 11:1) Hail Mary
For nothing will be impossible with God. (Lk 1:37) Hail
Mary
Trust in the Lord with all your
heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In
all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Pv
3:5,6) Hail Mary
So we are always of good courage. We know that while we
are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith,
not by sight. (2 Cn 5:6,7) Hail Mary
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result
of works, so that no one may boast. (Ep 2:8,9) Hail Mary
Glory be
Our Father
And I was with
you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my
message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the
Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men
but in the power of God. (1 Cn 2:3-5) Hail Mary
You see that a
person is justified by works and not by faith alone. (Js 2:24) Hail Mary
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who
gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let
him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a
wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not
suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded
man, unstable in all his ways. (Js 1:5-8) Hail Mary
And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if
you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done
to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and
thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. (Mt 21:21) Hail Mary
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Lk
17:5) Hail Mary
And Jesus said to him, “If you can’! All things
are possible for one who believes.” (Mk 9:23) Hail Mary
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could
we not cast it out?” He said to them, “Because of your little faith.
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard
seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it
will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Mt 17:19,20) Hail
Mary
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among
the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Ps 46:10) Hail Mary
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith. (2 Tim 4:7) Hail Mary
I told you that you would die in your sins,
for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” (Jn
8:24) Hail Mary
Glory be
Our Father
By faith Noah,
being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear
constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the
world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. (Heb
11:7) Hail Mary
We ourselves are
Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is
not justified by works of the law but
through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in
order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the
law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. (Gal 2:15,16) Hail
Mary
“Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within
him, but the righteous shall live by his faith. (Hab 2:4) Hail Mary
In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and
take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all
prayer and supplication. (Ep 6:16-18) Hail Mary
No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God,
but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced
that God was able to do what he had promised. (Rm 4:20,21) Hail Mary
But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible
with God.” (Lk 18:27) Hail Mary
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do
not lean on your own understanding. (Pv 3:5) Hail Mary
But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you
will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in
your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a
defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do
it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so
that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in
Christ may be put to shame. (1 Pet 3:14-16) Hail Mary
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of
various kinds, for you know that the testing of your
faith produces steadfastness. (Js 1:2,3) Hail Mary
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so
closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set
before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:1,2) Hail
Mary
Glory be
Our Father
In all your
ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Pv
3:6) Hail Mary
But let him
ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave
of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. (Js 1:6) Hail Mary
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if
necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the
tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that
perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result
in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though
you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you
believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with
glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1
Pet 1:6-9) Hail Mary
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his
name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were
born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man,
but of God. (Jn 1:12,13) Hail Mary
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a
hope. (Jer 29:11) Hail Mary
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has
eternal life. (Jn 6:47) Hail Mary
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the
life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he
live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you
believe this?” (Jn 11:25,26) Hail Mary
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but
not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while
the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one
who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one
who eats, for God has welcomed him. (Rm 14:1-3) Hail Mary
And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre
and Sidon. And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know,
yet he could not be hidden. But immediately a woman whose little daughter had
an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell down at his feet. Now the
woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to
cast the demon out of her daughter. And he said to her, “Let the children
be fed first, for it is not right to take the children's bread
and throw it to the dogs.” But she answered him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the
dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.” And he said to
her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your
daughter.” And she went home and found the child lying in bed and the demon
gone. (Mk 7:24-30) Hail Mary
When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to
him, appealing to him, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering
terribly.” And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the
centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof,
but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man
under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes,
and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’
and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who
followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have
I found such faith. I tell you, many will come from east and west and
recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, while
the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that
place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” And to the centurion
Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have
believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment. (Mt 8:5-13) Hail
Mary
Glory be
Our Father
But immediately
Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the
water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked
on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and
beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus
immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O
you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the
boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him,
saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” (Mt 14:27-33) Hail Mary
When Ahab saw
Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is it you, you troubler of Israel?” And he
answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father's house,
because you have abandoned the commandments of
the Lord and followed the Baals. Now therefore send and gather
all Israel to me at Mount Carmel, and the 450 prophets of Baal
and the 400 prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table.” (1 Kg
18:17-19) Hail Mary
And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah
the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and
Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am
your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. Answer
me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord,
are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” Then the fire of
the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones
and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the
people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is
God; the Lord, he is God.” (1 Kg 18:36-39) Hail Mary
And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little
cloud like a man's hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to
Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” And in a
little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great
rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the Lord was
on Elijah, and he gathered up his garment and ran before Ahab to the
entrance of Jezreel. (1 Kg 18:44-46) Hail Mary
And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a
virgin?” And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to
be born will be called holy—the Son of God. And behold, your
relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the
sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing will be
impossible with God.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of
the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed
from her. (Lk 1:34-38) Hail Mary
On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to
hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, and he saw
two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and
were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's,
he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught
the people from the boat. And when he had finished speaking, he said to
Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And
Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your
word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed
a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. They signaled to
their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and
filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it,
he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a
sinful man, O Lord.” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the
catch of fish that they had taken, and so also were James and John, sons of
Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be
afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” And when they had
brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him. (Lk
5:1-11) Hail Mary
And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him
until the breaking of the day. When the man saw that he did not prevail against
Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob's hip was put out of joint as he
wrestled with him. Then he said, “Let me go, for the day has broken.” But Jacob
said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” And he said to him,
“What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” Then he
said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you
have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Then
Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that
you ask my name?” And there he blessed him. So Jacob called the name of the
place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and
yet my life has been delivered.” The sun rose upon him as he
passed Penuel, limping because of his hip. Therefore to this day the
people of Israel do not eat the sinew of the thigh that is on the hip socket,
because he touched the socket of Jacob's hip on the sinew of the thigh. (Gen
32:24-32) Hail Mary
One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying,
“Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him,
saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of
condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our
deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember
me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I
say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Lk 23:39-43) Hail
Mary
And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of
Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people
say that I am?” And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others
say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” And he asked
them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You
are the Christ.” (Mk 8:27-29) Hail Mary
Just as day was
breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it
was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They
answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of
the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not
able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That
disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When
Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for
he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other
disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not
far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. When they got out
on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and
bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just
caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large
fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. (Jn
21:4-11) Hail Mary
Glory be
